Director, IT The Director of Information Technologies (IT) is a hands-on position that will drive both the strategic and operational aspects of the business. This position plans, manages, and coordinates the daily operational activities of the business including information systems, systems analysis, computer programming, and general user support. Critical to this role is solid business judgment while maintaining the responsibility for departmental organization and staff development including the ability to coordinate and prioritize the needs of functional departments in system design and implementation. Responsibilities: • Oversee global network infrastructure. • Direct the optimal system performance, sizing and application tuning and performance. • Ensure system reliability and efficient, positive support to all internal and external customers. • Serve as principal project/technical manager on all IT related projects including system administration; implementation and modification of existing and new applications; network security and optimal hardware configuration. • Manage the daily operations of the department, including the coordination of project activities with functional departments, optimal configuration of mission critical programs and the network, establishment and implementation of departmental goals, policies, and procedures. • Responsible for developing and maintaining an IT control environment mandated by Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements, including the coordination of all IT processes, drafting and updating IT process narratives, control objectives, and testing on a continuous basis to ensure consistent and reliable compliance. • Hire, coach and develop a strong team that exceeds expectations. • Bring a strong sense of urgency to the position and function with the ability to see projects and challenges through an efficient, timely manner with complete closure. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent. • Minimum of 10 years of IT/MIS related experience with at least 5 years in a management role. • Solid business judgment; demonstrated project management skills with strong problem solving/decision making abilities. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Expertise in applications software, database administration, computer hardware, security, data communications, programming and systems analysis and design techniques. Microsoft environment. • Pro-active, hands-on approach to solving user and system challenges. • Excellent communications skills both written and oral with all levels of the organization. • Service driven and team oriented attitude.
