It integrates many state-of-the-art technologies such as Websphere and EJB, .NET, Oracle, SOAP web-services, Video and content protection technologies (DRM). The primary focus of this position is managing and executing the Release Engineering process. The purpose of this position is to develop and execute processes for the successful promotion to production of the current platforms new and maintenance releases. The candidate will - Investigate, recommend and implement automated software release processes in support of ongoing maintenance, release and rollback efforts. - Develop, document and maintain release procedures and the staging and production build environments and build history - Serve as a primary technical liaison between Engineering and Software Development /QA teams to ensure successful and timely functional deployment of applications - Contribute to on-going improvement of software development release scheduling, release instructions and roll back procedures - Provide administrative and technical support, including but not limited to installation of software patches, and trouble-shooting of installation and configuration problems - Participate in validation of infrastructure requirement from development and participate in design and deployment of solutions Qualifications Require: • 3-4 years of experience in software development (J2EE, .Net) • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and software build and release management methodologies in multiple server release environments • Strong analysis capacity, methodology and rigor • Experience with creating and maintaining automated build tools • Experience of some web technologies (Flash, Silverlight, JSP, ASP.NET) • 2-4 years experience in support of EJB, JMS under IBM WebSphere environment, Struts, Hibernate • Experience in XML, SQL, DAO patterns • Experience in high availability, heavy load service platform for end-user applications (high traffic user accessed applications) • User Interface development (HTML, JavaScript, css, xslt, JSP) • 5 years experience in Linux and Microsoft Windows system administration. • Strong troubleshooting experience • Strong documentation, communication, and project management skills • Self motivated and require minimal supervision Prefer: • 5 years experience in monitoring of large architectures. • Experience in support of large server farms and SAN or NAS systems. • Experience in support of network routers and switches (i.e. spanning-tree, basic IP routing, VLAN, etc.) • Experience in Linux HA clustering, and Linux server administration. • Experience in basic network services technology such as SNMP, DNS, Content Switches, SSL, etc. • Experience in standard security on web infrastructures. • Provide detailed documentation and develop operational security procedures in accordance with corporate and industry standards • Develop Visio diagrams, workflows, security system/code architectural visualization • Experience with network and system management • Experience in performance analysis, test plans, capacity planning, Web-based services analysis, system security best practice NO RELOCATION offered local candidates only.
