The Position The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for assisting a team of engineers developing complex J2EE applications, and for the full cycle of software development. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience as a Senior Lead Developer and a background in numerous software technologies and network protocols. The candidate must have a broad experience in distributed software development (J2SE, J2EE, authentication, authorization, security and encryption) and relational database design and development (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) on Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems. The candidate will be developing server side components (JSP, servlets, JavaBeans, EJB), with a special attention to security, performance and scalability issues. In-depth knowledge of MVC and other Java patterns, XML, database design and connectivity is a must. Experience and a proven record of developing user-friendly and dynamic web applications is a plus. This highly self-motivated individual must have the desire and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to investigate new technologies which contribute to the development of our products. The work is extraordinarily challenging and demanding – in addition to software development duties, you will be responsible for code testing and debugging. • 5 to 7 years of experience in software industry and a minimum of five years of object oriented design and development including: * 4+ years of distributed Java technology (servlets, JSP, JDBC, JavaMail, EJB, SAX and DOM. * Solid experience with user interface design and development (HTML/DHTML, JavaScript). • 5+ years of experience with SQL, data modeling and relational databases (Oracle 9i, SQL Server 2000, PostgreSQL). Needs to be able to create efficient SQL statements and triggers. • Experienced in using NetBeans 4.0 and CVS as development environments. • Experienced in using various application servers like Tomcat (primary platform), SunONE, BEA WebLogic. • Windows XP/2000/NT/Me/98 and Linux/Unix software development experience. • Has to be able to read and quickly understand other’s people code and create uniformly formatted and well documented code. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
