Duration : Mar`02-Aug’03 Designation : Project Scientist Work Carried: ----------------- § Design and Development of Coupled Cavity Traveling Wave Tube (CCTWT). CCTWT is being designed and developed for high power amplification in microwave frequency range to be used in defense applications. § Developed a program in ‘C’ to compute the axial magnetic field of periodic permanent magnets (PPMs) for any linear beam tubes, using finite difference method with successive over relaxation. This program has the capability of mesh refinement that helps to handle larger problems with greater accuracy. Interfacing with the well known electron beam dynamics package EGUN has also been done for better focusing of the electron beam. § Developed pre- and post- processors for EGUN which improves the ways of modeling of electron guns and multistage collectors for Space applications. § Working on a software package in 'C' called Electron Optical Systems, which serves for field-calculation and ray-tracings in compound configurations of electric and magnetic field. § Thermal and Structural analysis of TWT using ANSYS. § Used the High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) package for the design of cavities.§ Involved in the development of CEERI Web-Site using HTML/XML/Java Applets..
