February 1999 – September 1999 Exigent Electronic Commerce Position Held : Senior Contractor Exigent was a small contracting company founded to provide professional IT services to the Finance Industry. The Three Partners have a global Reputation within the PRO-IV community and the Australian Financial Industry. I was hired as an Oracle PL/SQL and Database Programmer to create a polymorphic replication/Data Warehousing solution for a client’s reporting needs. The system was built on top of the Oracle replication functionality, extending it to allow for any Oracle database source(s) to be replicated to a central Data Warehouse/Repository; and during that replication allow for simple or complex calculations to be performed on the data. The system allowed for data from one table to be processed, then stored in multiple tables, or vice versa, and for aggregate records to be created from the source data. All Data transformations could be maintained from a central Administration console that encapsulated common functionality and could be maintained by people with only a little knowledge of the system, but also allowed for more complex operations by implementing run-time PL/SQL in the administration framework. May 1995 – December 1998 FlexiPlan Australia Pty Ltd Position Held : Senior Programmer MasterKey Custom is a Premier Superannuation and Personal Investment fund administration company. In December 1998 It employed over 80 employees, and held over 1 Billon Dollars in Funds under Management. My Role in MasterKey Custom was largely related to the monthly financial reports that were sent to the investors. These reports had to accurately aggregate financial transactions over a given time period into User Friendly transaction figures. The reports also needed to be efficient and fast, as a typical month saw the transactions table grow by 1 to 3 million records.I was also employed in a major project to migrate the back-end systems from the Proprietary PRO-IV databases to Oracle. The migration required that some business logic be shifted to PL/SQL triggers to maintain functionality, and the migration of all the reporting systems. * References ------------ Available on Request
