PhoneBookUpload ‘The objective is to “transfer phone book from RIM handset to RTL SIM with minimal user intervention, at the POS (Point of sale - where the user subscribes to the international roaming service). The POS operator should be provided with an easy-to-use software (with GUIs) to facilitate the transfer with minimum intervention.” The solution that would be provided to the POS operator would do the following: · Backup phonebook data from RIM handset · Convert phonebook data into a SIM acceptable format · Write data to RTL SIM Card 2. Tri Series “Tri Series” is a special application developed by Reliance to provide users the information about Tri Series 2002-03, held India. The application aims to provide scores, text commentary and other related information about the Tri Series. The application provides information about the current matches. It has two parts viz. Ticker and a body. The ticker, which runs on the top of the screen, keeps on rolling and provides ball-by-ball text commentary. The life of each ticker is close to 40 seconds. It automatically gets updated on the handset. However the body (scorecard) gets updated at every over/wicket fell/boundary scored. 3.Rnews A unique concept, ”R News“ gives to the RIC phone user, an experience similar to that of turning the pages of his favorite magazine. As the user turns the pages/navigates, he browses through topics like Top Headlines, General, Sports, Showbiz and Business. This application will also be available in Multi-Languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, English and Gujarati. The Content Management Server (CMS) is responsible for delivering both perishable and non-perishable contents to mobile devices. Content Management Server offers features for content contribution, management and delivery. It contains a run-time transformation engine to transform incoming data into different wireless content such as SMS or XML (WML). The CMS is responsible for assimilating the content from various content providers; parse it according to various form factors; follow the business and administrative rules set by the content team and deliver the desired content to the user. 4. Jokes The Jokes with Categories is a Multilingual application, which provides for only 2 level of data. The first level has the categories and the second level has the data/joke.The client hits the server when the Jokes application has been launched. The categories are fetched from the resource file by the client and are displayed on the handset. The actual jokes are sent to the client based on the language set in the handset and the category sent by the client to the server. The jokes are fetched in a Random order. The number of jokes sent to the client depends on the MAX_RECORDS value set in the property file. The jokes are cached in the memory and are updated every 24 hours. · The User has the option of submitting his own joke. · These jokes are stored in the database for a specific handsets. · The database is a UTFDB to provide for multilingual data. · The User has the option to send jokes via SMS . Project name: Games for Nokia Handsets (Series 30,40 and 60), GX-10, Motorola – T720, Gx-10 Vodafone Client name: Indiagames Ltd.(In-house product) Platform: J2ME, JDK1.4, Nokia SDK My Role: Implementation of game. WebPros WebPros is a collaborative Project & Portfolio Management System and serves as an Organization Level Tool for Distributed Project Management. It is a Web-based Enterprise-wide product for Real-time Collaborative Project Management. The application is based on a client-server architecture enabling information processing across multiple projects. Integrates Project, Documentation, Communication and Process Management and thus serves as a comprehensive Knowledge Management tool. It has a Virtual Directory System to store the project documents at a central location, which provides easy access to the files being processed at different locations. Possible to define versioned and non-versioned documents Checked out files cannot be checked in by a different user. Access to the directories as per the user rights. Administrator can create edit, view and upload documents. Project Manager can upload and view documents. Other users can view the documents for which the administrator has defined the rights. Role: Being a Senior Software Engineer was responsible for design, development and integration of the Virtual Directory System using Java Applet, JDBC and Swing components. This component was implemented with the product to ease the content management. And also designed the pages related to task management in ASP. Environment: WinNT, JDBC 2.0,Swing, MS SQL 2000, IIS 4 Employer: GoldenEmbryo Technologies. NCStudio ( Web-Based IDE) This is the Java IDE, which is basically designed for Enterprise level Application Development. Its a client-server based application. Once the application is installed on server like (NT, 2000) you can install client side application, more than one user can work on same project simultaneously. This IDE works on top of the Apache Tomcat server. Its full fledge editor for Java, Jsp, HTML languages. It deploys the files at appropriate location while developing the application. Having very rich user interface. It supports development environment for J2ME, EJB and normal java application as well. Whole application is designed in java. Role: I have designed the user interface using swings API and made a tools for showing the difference between two files which is useful for maintaining the version history between files and done the functional testing testing. Environment: WinNT, Swings API Employer: GoldenEmbryo Technologies. QMASTER Customize Question Paper Generation Application. Description: This Application was developed in Java (Swings API, JDBC2) and back-end used for this was MS -Access 2000.The goal of the application is used to generate the customize question paper from question bank with appropriate format where you can set the custom headings, headers, numbering styles, order of questions, and finally you can save your question paper for further use. It takes cares of those questions, which has been a referred earlier in question set. It has the searching feature of different criteria like subject wise, topic wise and keyword etc. Role: Database design, Coding, Testing. TEAM Size: 3. Employer: Golden Embryo Technologies. Environment: JAVA2 [Swings JDBC2], MS Access 2000. Resume Manager This is an web application, which targets two major entities: The job Seeker: Here it allows the job seeker to enter their particulars like categories of job, experience etc. This will be available in the database of a web server of a particular consultant .The WebPages provides the facility in the form of an applet to see the type of jobs available in different companies so that the job seeker can select and apply. The database was and led by a servlet for storing job Aspirant details and handling queries. The Client Manager: This deals with the client side where a company can register with the consultant with some agreements regarding charges for each selected candidate. An applet as a front ends as follows the company to fill its particular with the contact person details and the type of requirements. The whole information is stored, in the web server through an applet-servlet communication. The company can also obtain immediate response in case of immediate requirements in the server side. There is a front end to deal with the company requirement and jobseekers so that the consultant can manually deal with local clients. Role: Responsible for developing Client Manager module including design and coding. Environment: Servlets, Oracle8i, Java Webserver. Employer: GoldenEmbryo Technologies. LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (Academic) DESCRIPTION: This project mainly deals with daily issue/receipt transaction as well as new members registration. It also maintains the books inventory and if the issued book has not returned within a given period then fine will count automatically. Account of subscriber will not valid after subscription time is to be finished. Daily as well as monthly issue/receipt and current status of inventory report is generated by package. Role: Database design, coding and testing. Environment: JAVA2 [Swings JDBC2], Oracle 8.0. Team Size: 2. Development Site: ACTS Bandera. HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM This is a generalized package for hospitals. This package comprises of modules like Reception, Wards, laboratory, Stores, Billing, Medical Records, Financial Accounting, Appointment scheduling, Personnel, Security & Administration. The reception module handles inpatient & outpatient registration as well as online bed allocation . The wards module takes care of inpatient discharge & housekeeping. The laboratory module is integrated with the IP/OP registration & allows for maintenance of investigation request by patient & results for various available services such as clinical pathology ,X-ray, Ultra Sound .The stores module include generating & raising recommendations' raising of purchase order & much more i.e. a full fledged Inventor Management System in terms of expiry date, excess stock of items etc. The billing module can be integrated with financial Accounting, It facilitates cashier & billing operations for different categories of patients, providing automatic posting of charges related to different services like bed charges, lab tests conducted, medicines issued etc. The medical record module keeps an abstract of clinical data about patients. It allows easy retrieval of medical records on patients. The financial accounting module deals with cash/bank, receipts/payments journal vouchers etc. The appointment scheduling deals with the appointment scheduling for consulting doctors, Laboratory tests etc The personnel module deals with the maintenance of employee bio-data, attendance of details. The security & administration deals with controlling the access to the information available in the application It deals with the user level security to the different Modules function.
